Rather than chasing individual figures or selecting cattle based on one outstanding trait, our breeding objective remains clear: produce balanced Angus cattle that combine structural integrity, commercial performance, fertility, temperament and eating quality.

For us, no single EBV tells the whole story.

Instead, we assess the complete animal. Independent structural assessment, genomic information, performance recording and Angus Australia BreedPlan data all contribute to the selection process. Just as importantly, we continue to place significant emphasis on phenotype, functionality and the practical attributes that cannot always be measured by a single number.

The result is a breeding program focused on producing cattle that work under commercial conditions and continue to perform throughout their productive life.

We continually review our results, analyse independent benchmarking and challenge ourselves to identify where further improvement can be made. Some traits continue to improve strongly, while others remind us there is always more work to do.
